The Britax B-Agile Travel System, a Baby Registry Must-Have!

    Britax B-Agile Travel System

When I registered for baby gear, I had no idea which items to choose. I read reviews, poured over suggestion books, visited stores to see items in person, but I didn't really know where to start or what to buy. I only wish I had known then what I know now! I'd definitely go back in time and tell myself to register for a Britax B-Agile Travel System! Last year I had the distinct pleasure of reviewing the Britax B-Ready stroller and the Britax Boulevard 70-G3 convertible car seat and completely fell in love with the Britax brand. When Hayneedle told me that the Britax B-Agile Travel System was #1 on their Top Ten Baby Registry Must-Haves I wasn't surprised. However, I was surprised and THRILLED when they offered me the opportunity to review this stroller and car seat and weigh in with my opinions.

I was sent a Black Britax B-Agile Travel System (at no cost to facilitate this post):

    Britax B-Agile Travel System

The Britax B-Agile Travel System is comprised of two components, the B-Safe infant car seat and the B-Agile stroller (UPDATE: HERE is the most up to date version of this awesome system). Having an infant car seat is probably the only absolute essential piece of baby gear you'll need to own, so let's talk about the B-Safe first.

    Britax B-Agile Travel System

The B-Safe is for rear-facing and accommodates infants ranging from 4-30 pounds and 32 inches long or less. It has side impact protection to distributes crash forces, shield from vehicle intrusion, and contain the infant's head and body. Your baby will be safe thanks to it's tangle-free five point harness which is designed to distribute crash forces across the strongest points of the body and provide a snug and secure fit. The seat is lined with energy-absorbing form, also designed to absorb and distribute those crash forces if you're in an accident.

The B-Safe is designed to grow with your infant. It has four harness heights and two buckle positions. There's also a removable infant comfort pillow, shoulder pads to protect that tender neck and a belly pad for extra comfort. The adjustable base has five positions for proper seat angle and positioning as well as easy to read level indicators. The base can be installed using the seat belt or the LATCH system in your vehicle. There are built-in lock-offs to ensure a snug installation if you choose to use the lap belt, or there are premium lower LATCH connectors for quick and simple installation in you choose the LATCH system.

Another awesome feature of this infant seat is that it has an integrated CLICK & GO adapter system which will work with any of the BRITAX B-Series strollers (B-Ready, B-Agile, or B-Nimble). The seat itself is really lightweight and travel-friendly thanks to the ergonomically designed handle. I love the fact that canopy is nice and large to block wind, rain, harmful UV rays, and perhaps even an unwanted stranger's touch. When used with the B-Agile (as pictured above) you can use both the infant seat canopy and the B-Agile's canopy for total coverage and protection.

That brings me to the B-Agile. If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you might have realized by now that I love strollers. I've been fortunate enough to review quite a few over the past few years and the Britax B-Agile has quickly become one of my favorites.

    Britax B-Agile Travel System

The B-Agile is designed for use from birth to 55 pounds. It comes with the CLICK & GO integrated adapter system that works with Britax Chaperone and B-Safe infant car seats (but it's also compatible with other major infant car seat brands including Graco, Chicco, and Peg Perego, when used with BRITAX infant car seat adapter which is sold separately).

The B-Agile has a lightweight aluminum frame and weighs in at only 16.5 pounds. I'm used to lugging around a much heavier stroller so this is a fantastic selling point for me. The seat recline position is really infinite due to the sliding recline mechanism on the back of the seat. There's also a great zippered storage pouch on the back of the stroller, in addition to a moderately sized storage basket. The seat has a ffive-pointsafety harness with head pad for extra comfort and it's a NO re-thread system! Having had both varieties of strollers (ones where you have to rethread the shoulder straps and ones where there's an integrated sliding harness system), I can tell you from experience that no re-thread is the way to go!

The stroller handles very well thanks to the 3 wheel design and the frame design allows for full stride clearance. There is also a great all-wheel suspension system to provide a smooth ride for your little one. My little guy is quite comfortable in his B-Agile and we both love the mesh see-through peek-a-boo window. He's currently 20 months, 34 inches tall, and 28 pounds in these photos.

    Britax B-Agile Travel System

Even though I've named several amazing features for this stroller, I think my favorite feature is super easy one-handed quick fold. The B-Agile has a great chassis lock to keep the stroller folded and it's SO compact! Compared to other strollers I've used, the B-Agile is much more user friendly and I have much more cargo space available in my small SUV.

    Britax B-Agile Travel System

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the Britax B-Agile Travel System. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a safe, high-quality travel system to transport their most precious cargo!

You can purchase this Black B-Agile Travel System at various retailers, including Amazon.com. In fact, we've listed it as a top pick for your Amazon baby registry!

Disclosure: I received the Britax B-Agile Travel System at no cost to facilitate this post. All opinions expressed are my own and may differ from yours.

I have to say, I'm like you. I wish I had known half the stuff I know now back when I was registering for baby gear. This stroller/seat combo looks AMAZING - no wonder it tops the list!

This is hands down my all-time favorite infant car seat/stroller! I don't know what I would have done without it when my daughter was a newborn.

I so miss the stroller days! Not just the ease of being able to 'lock' her in it (and actually walk to where I needed to be), but just being able to use it to carry stuff! Seems like there may not be as many things to carry now, but the few things that I do need to bring are bigger, heavier, and way more awkward than a diaper bag ever was :/

This looks like a great travel system. I've been concerned that they are really heavy but this doesn't look too hard to maneuver around!

What a great looking stroller/carriage this one is, I love how easy it opens and closes and great for small spaces like
my daughters apartment. This would be nice for her to have.
