As a busy mom, I'm always running out the door somewhere. On top of that, I live in Florida and it is HOT and humid, basically ALL of the time. Whether I'm taking my kids to preschool, running errands, or headed to a work conference, I need deodorant that lasts.
Needless to say, sweating can be a big problem. I've followed these great tips to keep sweating at a minimum.
- Drink LOTS of water (half your body weight in ounces). The more hydrated you are, the better your body will be at keeping you cool.
- Exercise early in the morning or in the evening, when temperatures are the most mild.
- Wear breathable clothing and shoes to allow sweat to evaporate which cools the body down.
- Keep some wet wipes on hand to wipe wrists/neck to keep from overheating.
What is the Best Deodorant for Your Lifestyle?
CVS recently rolled out an online quiz to help determine what type of deodorant is best for your lifestyle. It also suggests a type of workout you may enjoy!
I took the quiz which recommended yoga as my workout. I've been seriously thinking about joining a local yoga studio so I feel like that's a great choice for me. Right now, I feel like I get quite the workout just chasing my young kids around, but it would be nice to get some me-time to decompress. The deodorant suggestion I received is Dove's Invisible Clear Finish Dry Spray Antiperspirant.
One of the first things I noticed about this deodorant is the clean, floral scent. I'm very picky about the fragrances I put on my body (especially since I smell them all day!) and this is very refreshing. It goes on instantly dry, which is great because I'm usually rushing to get ready as I head out the door. I can put clothes on immediately after applying it.
If I'm already dressed, I can still apply Dove Invisible Clear Finish Dry Spray Antiperspirant, because it leaves NO white marks whatsoever on 100 colors. I could literally spray my entire shirt with this and still be able to walk out the door.
The deodorant lasts up to 48 hours, even after playing with my kids on a 95 degree day in Florida. It's also great to toss in my bag in case I need to reapply. I love knowing that I can put it on anywhere and not have to worry about white marks!
If dry spray deodorant isn't your thing, CVS conveniently carries three other options.
Clinical: If you require prescription-strength deodorant or tend to reapply many times throughout the day, this may be your best option. Containing skin moisturizers to give gentle AND long-lasting protection, deodorants in this category are designed to keep you dry and smelling great all day.
Antiperspirant: If you tend to sweat heavily, antiperspirants are a great option. Keeping wetness and odor at bay, some also work at moisturizing underarms.
Deodorant: If you're looking for classic all-day protection, look no further than regular deodorant. Easy to apply, and with clean fresh scents, these will provide odor protection and skin comfort throughout the day.

I love Dove products and I've never tried the Dove Dry Spray Invisible but would like to. I think the regular deodorant is probably best for my life style.
