When we attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party last year, we had so much fun. I was thrilled when Disney asked our family back again this year, and my husband got to come this time, too! There are so many things to do at this annual Christmas party, but I wanted to share a few of our favorite things with you.
You get to meet some of your favorite Disney characters and Santa Clause, too!
It's already the best treat to visit Magic Kingdom to see our favorite Disney characters, but when Santa Clause makes an appearance too, you know it's special! Mickey and Minnie come dressed for the occasion, and they put on a spectacular show. During the party, Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration is the yuletide show at the castle! It's full of carols and surprise guests that you won't want to miss.
It's the only time of year you can see the castle transformed by Queen Elsa
This is truly one of my favorite things about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It starts with a fantastic show with appearances by Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf. The event ends with Queen Elsa transforming the entire castle into a sparkling, icy centerpiece! I've been to the Magic Kingdom a fair number of times, but nothing is as breathtaking as seeing the castle light up this way.
It will be the one time you'll see snow on Main Street at Magic Kingdom
You read that right - SNOW! Living in Florida, where recent temps have been in the 80s, the snow is thrilling for children and adults alike. My kids have never seen real snow before, so when we experienced it this time they were mesmerized! The whole park is decorated with lights and wreaths; perfectly festive for the holiday season.
Speaking of decorations, you can't miss the massive decorated tree!
There's a dance party at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
I don't know about your kids, but mine LOVE to dance! This dance party, an exclusive at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, takes place at the Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. Dance with reindeer, elves, and the Coca-Cola Polar Bears! It's a holiday spectacular your kids will remember for years to come.
You can partake in complimentary treats and special holiday food items
Buying a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party means you get some free holiday treats included in that price! We don't do sweets often and our kids were so excited about their sno-cones and chocolate milk. I loved the little snowman pretzels in Adventureland. There was also a huge variety of holiday treats for purchase during the event!
The Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is one of the best!
If you've been to Disney World, you know that they can throw some pretty incredible parades. The Once Upon a Christmastime Parade has got to be one of the very best, though! With so many Disney characters, along with festive gingerbread men and elves (and even Santa!), this parade is one for the books. Our kids particularly loved seeing their favorite Toy Story characters during this iconic parade!

We had such a great time at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this year! This special event runs through December 21st and is well worth the admission fee. My kids are still talking about it, and I'm sure they will be for a long time.
