Are you celebrating or dreading the end of the school year?! Can't wait to hit the beach with your kids, or don't want to think about all the activities it's going to take to keep your kids from tearing the house apart from boredom? It takes a good long summer to really appreciate a good teacher. Someone who challenged, taught, and loved your child, and its high time to thank them for being great role models and fantastic teachers for our kids. Here is a fun, fast, and cheap teacher gift idea with a printable for you to print from home, and the kids can help every step of the way!
This gift idea contains those cute hair ties with knots at the end. Have you ever paid a couple dollars for a card of these? Did you know you can make these for pennies? I found this stretchy elastic at my local craft shop for $.10/yard! This elastic is easy to find anywhere these days. Try Etsy, Michaels, Joanns, etc. for some cute prints and colors.
I cut mine to be between 8" and 9.5" before tying them. Your kids could help do the cutting and tying!
You can use any sort of cute mini container. This is a sugar bowl I found at the dollar store. Those circular metal tins with lids found at craft stores could also be really cute! Worse case scenario, you could stretch the hair ties around a card and call it good.
Print away!
Here's a big THANK YOU to all of my teachers and my son's teachers! Have a glorious summer!
