Wear Tough Teething Necklace Review
Teething babies can be tough to soothe and tough to handle. Thankfully, there's a new tool on the market to help moms look stylish while helping their little ones soothe those tender gums. Allow me to introduce you to the Wear Tough teething necklace.
My little lady has 4 teeth and is working on cutting a few more. We are in the throws of teething and it's brutal. Unlike my son, who never put anything in his mouth, her mouth is like a magnet for everything! She constantly grabs anything within her reach and gnaws on it, which is why my Wear Tough teething necklace has been a saving grace.
I received 2 teething necklaces from Wear Tough and I couldn't be more pleased with the look or design. First, the packaging is fabulous. I love that the necklaces are tucked inside a clear bag with zipper closure which also happens to be FDA approved food-grade packaging. I use them to store my necklaces in between wear and I feel like it keeps them tangle-free and clean.
I was immediately smitten with the Lauren . It's classic with a hint of modern flair. I love that I can wear this necklace to dress up my outfits since it's stylish and sophisticated. It's such a great sensory tool for my daughter too. She's at the stage where she gets distracted while she takes her bottle, but this necklace helps keep her focused and keeps her little hands busy. Chewing on the silicone beads really seems to help soothe her gums, plus I can offer her my necklace instead of her grabbing for every random item she sees.
As a mom, I'm thankful that Wear Tough jewelry is made from silicone that is free of BPA, Phthalates, PVC, Lead, Cadmium and Latex. It's also FDA approved, CPSIA and CPSC compliant, so you know it's safe for baby. These soft beads are heat resistant and refrigerator/freezer safe (to help soothe those gums even more), and they have absolutely no odor or taste.
The second style I received was an updated version of the Makaila organic silicone teething necklace. It's got 5 hexagonal silicone beads (in light purple, white, grey, hot pink, and darker purple) with a silky gray cording with simple breakaway clasp.
Unlike other silicone teething necklaces that I own, the beads on the Wear Tough necklaces are centered in the front, not all the way around the necklace. As someone with long hair, I can't tell you how much I love this. I've gotten my hair tangled in more necklaces than I care to count and I dislike the feeling of bulky silicone beads around my neck, especially in the summer months. With Wear Tough, all I feel is the silky cord necklace and break-away clasp.
The clasp has a great design and breaks away if you've got a child that loves to forcefully snatch things (hopefully that doesn't include your hair!). It's just firm enough that the necklace doesn't come off easily though.

I feel so stylish in my Wear Tough necklaces and am thrilled to have an option for wearing jewelry that won't get destroyed and that doubles as a teething and sensory tool for my daughter. These necklaces look good and are comfortable to wear. I really can't ask for much more than that!
