Thirsties Duo Wrap and Duo Fab Fitted Review

This post may contain affiliate links. Click here for more information.

The mission of Thirsties, Inc. is to make it easy and affordable for every family to choose cloth while simultaneously investing in our local economy and sustainable business practices. Thirsties uses only the best USA-sourced materials for their products, reducing their carbon footprint while supporting domestic textile mills and our local economy.  They strive to produce high quality products that are designed to last.

I was sent a Duo Wrap and Duo Fab Fitted (at no cost) to review:

    Thirsties

The Duo Fab Fitted is an ultra absorbent, super soft fitted diaper that comes in either snap or Aplix® closure. This diaper comes in two sizes: Size one is for babies 6-18 pounds and Size two is for babies 18-40 pounds. I ordered the Size 2 fitted for my 9 month old, 21 pound baby. The great thing about the Duo Fab Fitted is that even though it's a sized system, it's even further adjustable thanks to the 3 rise settings.

    Thirsties Fab Fitted

This diaper is made from buttery soft materials (outer 15% polyester, 85% cotton). The internal soaker is comprised of three layers of microfiber terry topped with a stay-dry microfleece liner (100% polyester) for baby's comfort. There is a tunnel behind the soaker which is awesome if you need to add a bit more absorbency for your heavy wetters. This channel also allows for better cleaning and a faster drying time.

    Thirsties Fab Fitted

Thanks to the very adjustable Aplix® hook and loop closure and rise snaps we were able to get a great fit with the Duo Fab Fitted. The gentle, encased leg elastic is wonderful and doesn't leave harsh, red marks on baby's thighs or back. This is such a trim fitted compared to others I own! The Duo Fab Fitted is available in six beautiful colors.

    Thirsties Fab Fitted

We had great success with the Duo Fab Fitted. My little guy is starting to become quite the heavy wetter so fitteds are one of my favorite diapering options. I didn't need to add any extra absorbency during normal daytime use, but I did add a hemp doubler for naps (just in case). The tunnel is really easy to stuff and I love having the option of adding extra absorbency. I also love that this diaper has a stay-dry liner for baby's comfort.

I was also sent the Duo Wrap for review. The Duo Wrap is a pliable, breathable waterproof cover created from 100% polyester with urethane coating. I love the fact that this cover is waterproof, yet still breathable! Like the Duo Fab Fitted, the Duo Wrap is also sized. Size one is designed for babies 6-18 pounds and Size two is for babies 18-40 pounds. There are 3 rise settings and they're available in either Aplix® or snap closure. The Duo Wrap is available in a variety of great colors and prints.

    Thirsties Duo Wrap

This cover has my very favorite diaper feature - double gussets! The double gussets offer advanced leak protection and contain messes so well.

    Thirsties Duo Wrap

The Duo Wrap can be simply wiped clean between diaper changes as long as the cover isn't soiled. This is wonderful, especially if you're cloth diapering on a budget. You'd need 1 cover for every 3 or 4 diapers in rotation. This is a super trim cover, so it's best to use over trim fitting diapers such as the Duo Fab Fitted,  trifolded prefolds or padfolded flats. You can see below that I was able to get a great fit with the Thirsties Duo Wrap over the Duo Fab Fitted.

    Thirsties Duo Wrap

The Duo Fab Fitted is an amazingly absorbent, super trim diaper. Pair it with the soft, breathable Duo Wrap and you've got a powerhouse team that's still trim AND cute! Thanks to the multiple rise settings and double gussets, you'll get a great fit with advanced leak protection. With the Thirsties sizing system you'll only need two sizes from birth to potty training.

I'm a huge Thirsties fan after trying these two products! They're high quality, perform extremely well AND they're made in the USA!

Buy it: You can find where to purchase Thirsties cloth diapers through their Retailer Locator.

    Have you tried Thirsties products??
What is your favorite feature of this diaper or cover??

I really like that the Duo Wrap had double gussets and the pul panel in the front to help prevent leaks from the sides and tummy! My dd is a tummy sleeper, so the tummy panel is GOLD for us, lol!

We are new to Thirsties products, but have already made the duo wrap our favorite nighttime cover! We LOVE the fact that it is 2 size, so that we can put tons of absorbency inside and it still actually fits our heavy wetter! It is also our fastest cover to dry on the line, which is important since we always hand wash. Love, Love, LOVE the double gussets. I'm convinced no diaper fits our son

I haven't had a chance to try Thirsties (maybe I'll win the giveaway wink wink) hehe, but based on your review I like the idea of a fitted diaper. Babygirl is a heavy wetter at night we co-sleep and there are times where she's wet the bed twice in a night. =/

I have tried these and I LOVE them! my favorite feature of the fab fitted (same with the duo AIO) is that the "insert" is sewn along the seam instead of at the front or back of the diaper. This makes it easier to clean if they poop because it won't get on the edge of an insert, and makes it have a pseudo pocket so you can stuff it if need be!~

I like that the adjustments are wide ranged enough to only need two sizes of diapers. It keeps things cost effective. I've never used cloth diapers before but I've been considering it for my third baby.

Hello. Thanks so much for the review. I like to see how all the different cloth diapers work and their pros and cons. I have never used Thirsties before, being how I am a first time mom and I am due in June. What I like about the Duo Fab Fitted is the fabric and that it has only two sizes that will fit 8 - 35 lbs.

They dont look like they go up the front and back as much as disposable diapers. Do you have any issues with #2 going up the back and all?? After seeing all of these cloth diapers, I am HIGHLY considering trying them out even though we don't have a washer and dryer here (we go to the laundry mat). I know that it is an "investment" as first but pays off in the end. With that being

I NEVER have issues with #2 going up the back with cloth diapers. They hold poo in SO much better than disposables. Shoot me an email at vivaveltoro{@}gmail.com so we can chat more about cloth diapers. Also, check out my tab at the top "cloth diapering" and that might answer more of your questions 🙂
