My sister gave me a beautiful baby shower before I had Baby B a few months ago, and it was really the most thoughtful thing. The entire time, I kept thinking that the only way I could really thank her would be to give her a gorgeous baby shower in return! She is due with a girl at the end of the summer, and for weeks, I was planning this event. In my search for gifts and activities and themes for the shower, I came across Sunshine Shoppe Supply, and fell absolutely in love with these DIY kits where you and your guests and put together headbands and hair things for the baby! I was privileged to review a kit at no cost to facilitate this review, and I'm excited to show you what they're all about so that you can incorporate these kits into you own upcoming parties and showers!
Sunshine Shoppe Supply carries all sorts of darling things like DIY hair flowers, crafts, headbands, ribbon, elastic, trim, and tulle. Their hair accessory kits are a steal and a half, and the way they are organized make them a fun activity to make with friends. I picked out the Sunshine DIY Hair Accessory Kit to go along with the "Pink Lemonade" themed baby shower, and I couldn't be more pleased with the contents and the packaging. The box is cute enough to set out at the party, and the supplies are top notch.
Within this kit, you find yards and yards of different kinds of elastic, like fold over, tie dye, velvet, and skinny. There are all kinds of shabby flowers, mini flowers, mesh flowers, yoyo flowers, etc. along with rolled roses, satin headbands, a Nagorie feather pad, and rhinestones.
This full size kit is sold for $79.99, and since it provides everything you need to make 40-50 headbands, these come out to be less than $2/accessory, which is cheaper than any boutique or online shop that I know of. They've made it really easy to whip these up because all you need is a glue gun. They provide a laminated sheet of directions along with a measurement guide so you know how long to cut the elastic based on the age of who you're making these for.
Before toting this box to the baby shower, I just had to make a few! It was so fun picking out the coordinating elastic and supplies, and once I had my plan, I was literally able to make these in seconds. You don't need a special set of tools or skills to make darling accessories, which makes this even more of an appealing activity for a large group of guests. I love these treasures on Baby B!
The shower was a blast, and I couldn't have come up with a better activity on my own. With school-age girls, wouldn't this activity be a blast at birthday parties or sleepovers?
Everyone joined in and I was happy as could be to be able to send my sister home with a box bursting full of beautiful accessories!
