Many thanks to GraphicStock for sponsoring today’s story and encouraging me to create my own DIY birthday invitations for Wubba's upcoming birthday. I made these train theme birthday invitations and I'm sharing them for free with you!
I admit, sometimes I just don't feel like I'm crafty enough to DIY birthday parties. I love browsing Pinterest for ideas, but I just don't have the time, especially with a newborn and a toddler! I was pleasantly surprised when I started browsing GraphicStock - a subscription-based website that provides members with unlimited downloads of stock graphics, stock images, icons, buttons, backgrounds, and even more! I signed up for a free 7-day trial just in time to try my hand at creating a DIY birthday invitation for Wubba's upcoming train-inspired 3rd birthday.
How to Make Train Theme Birthday Invitations
At first glance, I was overwhelmed with the amount of graphics and images available at my fingertips. But not overwhelmed in a bad way, in a wonderful way - I couldn't believe there were thousands of images ready for me to download at no additional cost. The site is super simple to use - I could choose to browse by category or type into the search bar. I could also easily see which images are the newest, most downloaded, and highest rated by GraphicStock.com's users.
Since my little guy is loving trains right now, I knew that's exactly what I wanted. A quick search of trains gave me this beautiful collection of vintage trains.
Downloading images couldn't be more simple either - once you've signed up for your 7-day free trial, you can go right into GraphicStock.com and download ALL the images you want. Once you've found the images you want to download, you can choose to download them in the format you'd like: JPG, PNG, PDF, and EPS. This makes it even easier to create different types of projects.
In the event you just need a quick graphic for a simple project, GraphicStock has plenty of those too. A quick search of "Happy Birthday" revealed a ton of beautiful images that I could have used for birthday invitations or even a birthday card for a friend.
For Wubba's train birthday invitation, I wanted to DIY a little more than just using a stock image, so I took images from the vintage trains and put them together with some matching text that I made in PicMonkey. The result was an adorable vintage, train-inspired DIY birthday invitation! I think these train theme birthday invitations came out perfect and they're exactly what I wanted.
If your little one loves trains too, feel free to click here to download a non-personalized version of the invitation and insert your own information in a program like PicMonkey or Photoshop.

Cool !! this would be handy when it comes to scrapbooking too. Sometimes I need a certain sticker to go with a page and I can't find one in the stores. This would be very handy. I could print a picture and then cut it and trim and run thru a Xyron to make a sticker.
