Spring is the perfect time to adopt the mindset, "Out with the old, in with the new." I've been on a kick with spring cleaning and clearing out clutter and things we no longer need. That means there's plenty of space to bring in new items for a bit of a spring reset. Thanks to my friends at BabbleBoxx, I received some new products to explore that I can't wait to dig into.
New books!
I made a goal for the new year to read more in 2023. I read 33 books last year and I'm hoping to keep that momentum going. I was thrilled to see two brand new titles to explore from Kensington Books.
Those Empty Eyes by Charlie Donlea was the first book I picked up and I was immediately sucked in by the cover. I love psychological thrillers with twists and turns in the plot and this book looks like it's right up my alley.
Here's a synopsis from the publisher: You know her name. You know her face. You know THOSE EYES... Ten years after she was exonerated for slaughtering her entire family, the girl the tabloids called “Empty Eyes” has found her calling: preventing the innocent from being proven guilty. She’ll never stop searching for what happened that night her parents and brother were callously slaughtered, but while her job has her investigating the disappearance of a student journalist on the cusp of breaking a major story about rape on her college campus, one thing becomes increasingly clear. Even when the whole world’s looking for “Empty Eyes,” she’s the only one who sees the truth.
Internationally bestselling author Charlie Donlea is known to create mold-breaking, strong female protagonists that wind you through stories with jaw-dropping endings. Those Empty Eyes, his seventh novel, sounds like it won't disappoint. Fans of Karin Slaughter, Gillian Flynn, and Mary Kubica should love this one.
Fern Michaels is another masterful storyteller and On the Line looks like a nail-biting thriller that I can't wait to read. Michaels is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Sisterhood, Lost and Found, Men of the Sisterhood, the Godmothers series, and
dozens of other novels and novellas.
Here's a quick synopsis from Kensington Books: Mateo Castillo is a rising star chef on the verge of breaking out in Manhattan’s cutthroat celebrity cooking scene – until a mysterious illness sends him to the ER. As he and his doctor, Adrian Ardell, investigate the cause of his episodes, they find they have more in common than their shared interest in his health. Like Mateo, Adrian’s family immigrated to the US when she was young, fleeing a country overrun with violence. While Mateo is from South America, her roots are Eastern European, but they both understand what it takes to succeed against all odds. They begin to develop feelings for one another, even as their search for answers leads them to more questions from Mateo’s past…
On the Line weaves together two storylines. One is present-day NYC, as Mateo
and Adrian investigate the cause of his life-threatening illness. The other is
1988 Colombia, when Mateo’s young parents are forced to flee the country to escape the vicious Medellín Drug Cartel. The story blends medical mystery, family drama, and suspenseful danger. It's a great book for fans of Janet Evanovich, Colleen Hoover and JD Robb.
I'm taking a little vacation and have already included these spring books on my packing list. They're going to give me the perfect little escape during my travels. Those Empty Eyes by Charlie Donlea and On the Line by Fern Michaels are available now everywhere books are sold.

New medicine!
With a background in healthcare, I'm big on having a well-stocked medicine cabinet. I always want to be prepared when discomfort or illness strikes. I was thrilled to see Wonderbelly in my BabbleBoxx.
Wonderbelly created a fantastic line of antacids that are formulated with clean ingredients. One of their founders suffers from severe digestive health struggles after battling bulimia for a decade. This means he requires antacids daily while living in recovery. If you've ever read the labels of over-the-counter antacids, you probably know they're full of GMOs, talc, dyes, gluten, dairy, common allergens, and synthetic sweeteners.
Wonderbelly was born from the desire to offer a real medicine that fights heartburn,
acid indigestion, and a sour belly with the same effectiveness as leading brands, but without all the undesired ingredients and GMOs. Wonderbelly Antacids are free from talc, dyes, artificial sweeteners, parabens, and genetically modified ingredients.
They provide maximum strength and instant relief, AND they come in fun flavors! Their newest flavor, Fruity Cereal is available exclusively at Target.
I've got a special offer for you to try Wonderbelly! Text your receipt to 507-652-5235 to receive $5 back on your Wonderbelly purchase. They're now available in select Target stores and on Target.com.
