Are you looking for a way to keep your baby close? Maybe you have a fussy baby that is only soothed by being held by their mama. A Moby Wrap is what you need!
The Moby Wrap was designed so that you and your baby can be close and comfortable. These soft wraps are made of 100% cotton (also available in organic cotton) and are super soft with one-way stretch, allowing for total comfort and breathability. They are one-size which allows for just about anyone to use the same wrap - mom, dad, grandma - anyone can use it and customize the fit.

There is a wide shoulder support and it utilizes your entire back and shoulders to evenly distribute your baby's weight. Your baby will be supported in a healthy fashion, with their legs spread and supported from the thigh to the knee joint, to help prevent hip dysplasia. They can accommodate babies up to 35 pounds.
Caring for your Moby Wrap could not be easier. It is machine washable and comes in a matching fabric pouch for easy storage and portability. Another great thing about this wrap is that is comes in several beautiful solid colors and patterns. They are also available in the MLB™ Edition so you can "wrap up for the game" and support your favorite team!
Moby Wrap Review
I received the "Hoot" Moby Wrap as a gift before my little one was born. I have to admit, at first I was intimidated by it. I wasn't sure I'd be able to figure out how to get it on and wear it correctly. I'm happy to report that I was wrong on both counts. After watching the instructional videos on the Moby Wrap website it was actually very easy to put on.
Check out how to put on the Moby Wrap here:
There are different holds you can do with your Moby Wrap. My little one and I like the Hug Hold the best. This position is really great for those times when he falls asleep because his head can be supported by one of the shoulder pieces.
I find this wrap to be very comfortable. My little guy seems to be snug and comfy. He is currently 6 months old and about 19 pounds so carrying him in my arms gets very tiresome, very quickly. With the Moby Wrap, I can carry him for much longer, which he really enjoys. I feel like he is very secure and I don't have to adjust the wrap constantly. With the triple wrap feature of the Moby Wrap, he is fully supported so I can be hands free.
Now that my little guy is teething he's uncomfortable and fussy fairly often. Holding him close in the Moby Wrap is definitely soothing to him. Another wonderful feature of the Moby Wrap is that there isn't any fabric between you and the baby. This is especially great in those early months when skin to skin contact is so beneficial to both mom and baby.
I really like the full back support that the Moby Wrap provides. Unlike other carriers I've tried that have just used my shoulders to support the weight of the baby, I'm able to wear this for long periods of time and still feel great.
The only problem I could find with the Moby Wrap is that since it's so long the fabric can drag on the floor while putting it on. This may not be a big deal while at home, but if you're out and about you may not want your wrap touching the floor. Simply putting the wrap on before you leave the house would be a good solution to this problem.
I've heard other people complain that it takes them a long time to put their Moby on. Once you get the hang of it, it really doesn't take long at all. The wrap comes with a great instruction booklet and there are video demonstrations on the Moby Wrap website. I've included them below so you can see just how easy it is to put the wrap on.
Buy It: You can purchase a Moby Wrap on our affiliate Amazon. Prize range from $35 and up and there are an assortment of wonderful colors to choose from.

I used my Moby with my twins. It was the only carrier I found that I could comfortably carry both of them (well, when they were really little anyways :))

This is one of the many items I am checking into, now here is the thing, is OSFA really OSFA? Like those PJ's in the 90's that were OSFA and were really only made for a size 6. I just wonder if it would fit as I have really broad shoulders. Have you seen any plus sized mom's sport it? I have been searching for a Moby and a Baby that I can "try on" but have not had both of
Ruth V. says
Hi Julie! Haha, I definitely remember those PJs in the 90's. I do think the Moby would fit you. You can't see it In the pictures above, but I was able to bring the fabric around to tie it in the front. But there is the option of tying it in the back if you don't have enough fabric to wrap around to the front? Does that make sense? You can see what I mean in the first video.
Ruth V. says
Thank you so much for sharing Maryclaire! I'm sure your comments will help a lot of people looking at the Moby Wraps!

I had the Moby Wrap with my first, and it just wasn't my favorite. It sagged on my all the time and I felt like I constantly needed to tighten it. Now with my second, I've tried it again and it's so much easier this time. I guess some babywearing experience really helped!

Wow, so many lovely wraps to choose from. I think I'd choose the Almond Blossom UV wrap. It's so pretty and I'm hoping to move back to my old hometown but it's high desert so it would come in handy.
Oh and a Moby will definitely fit a plus-sized mama. I wear a 2X/3X size up top and all I do is tie it in back or scooch the moby tag over to one side and tie it on my hip. Works just fine.

I can't wait to try out my Moby wrap! I hope my baby will enjoy it, because I've heard some just don't like being in a carrier of any type. I'm a bit worried about the Summer months, because it is a lot of material to be wearing in the Summer, so I recently got a Chinado wrap. The Moby still seems more comfy though.
pamela says
looks much more comfrotable than the one i bought
Brianna Sherman says
This is the first time I've stumbled across a review for the Moby wrap and I've been considering one. It is so nice to know that they aren't as complicated as they look. They do seem a bit intimidating but you've made it seem less so. 🙂 Thanks!
Libby C says
I quite liked my Moby and used it for several months after my son was born in January. However, as the weather got warmer, I found the Moby to be too hot. Comfortable as it is otherwise, all those layers of fabric are very warm!
Puddles and Poop says
I have tried multiple baby wearing contraptions and none of them have really worked for us. I keep going back to the Moby Wrap and telling myself that I just need to try it. When my next baby is born, I think this is the one I will go with. You said that you could wear him for quite a while and that is definitely what I need.
Melissa Romero-Gomez says
I've been really wanting to try a moby wrap!! I'm expecting in January and I'm hopingI'll have one by then!

Dorothy Boucher says
i love these things, every time a see a mom wearing one of these it just amazes me because its something i sort of did when mine was young
Mindy O says
I bought a Moby at a consignment sale before my daughter was born and was really excited to try it. My first time getting it on was lovely. I enjoyed having my girl so close and I loved the comfort it brought with carrying her for an extended time. However, since then I can never get it to fit properly--it always seems to get too loose and little girl starts slumping down (she's 2 mo). Could this be because it was used for another child prior to her and it has gotten stretched out? I don't know if I'm wrapping it wrong, but I try to pull it as tight as possible, but it feels like it just rides up my back and loosens again. Don't know if you've come across this, but would love your feedback 🙂
Ruth V. says
Hmm, I don't have a lot of experience with used wraps, but that could be it, especially since your child is still so young. Have you tried washing/drying it?
Mindy O says
I tried washing and drying several times but it still doesn't seem to fit quite right for me. It's probably just par for the course having already been used for one kiddo. Thanks for your reply! I do love the closeness that baby wearing brings 🙂
Linda Mannst says
I really like this. I wish they were around when my kids were young. It seems to enable mommy to get things done and baby gets to be close at the same time. Thank you for sharing
