Skinny Jeans Team Colors Review!
I love jeans. I own several pairs but am always on the hunt for THE perfect pair. I've spent hundreds of dollars searching but am usually left lukewarm about the jeans once I get them home and wear them a few times. Recently, I had the opportunity to try out SkinnyJeans®, a brand of denim designed to create a slimmer and more flattering silhouette.
SkinnyJeans has a fun line called Team Colors, that are ultra-soft, power-stretch jeans that are available in the colors of every major university and professional sports team in the USA. By the way, these jeans are All-American too - the denim is milled in the US and the jeans are cut, sewn, and washed right here in the USA too!

SkinnyJeans are made to fit you perfectly. They're constructed of classic denim with a high nylon/elastane content so they'll hold you in and not end up a saggy mess at the end of the day. They retain their shape so you won't have to wash these jeans with each wear. The thighs are 'scooped' out to separate and slim the thighs - this also pushes the butt out creating a shapely look. Another great feature of these jeans is that the inseams are drawn forward on the leg making it appear that there is less ‘real estate’ on the front of the leg - giving your legs an instantly slimming effect. The inside non-stretch cotton pocketing lining the front pockets is sewn into the front seam so when the jeans are zipped up a restraining panel is created that pushes the entire stomach area in, instantly slimming your midsection (um, yes please!). SkinnyJeans® has also figured out the best size, shape and placement of pockets to make your butt appear smaller and shaplier! They have a medium rise with contoured stretch waistband to banish muffin tops and plumber's butt... Don't these jeans sound amazing?
I was sent a pair of Turquoise Team Colors jeans in size 28/29 for review. For reference, I'm about 5'4'' and just under 130 pounds.
These jeans have classic 5-pocket styling, a single button closure, zip fly, and rivet detailing. They are super soft, medium weight jeans with just the right amount of stretch thanks to the 86% cotton, 11% polyester, 3% spandex mix. The front rise is 8.5'' which is perfect for holding your belly in and preventing a pooch. The back rise is 13'' to prevent muffin top syndrome. They come in a skinny straight cut with a narrow 14'' leg opening. Good news if you're tall - the inseam on my jeans measured just over 35''. I did have to hem mine, but I'm used to that since I'm fairly short.
So, how about the fit? I LOVE the fit of these jeans! As soon as they arrived I put them on, rolled them up and wore them for the next several hours. They are SO comfortable. The color is gorgeous too! I think they're showing up a little lighter in the pictures below, but in real life they're fantastic. These jeans can be dressed down for a casual daytime look, or dressed up with a great pair of heels for evening time. I think they're definitely true to size too.

Now, these jeans aren't cheap, but I think they're worth every penny. I absolutely love them and wish I had a pair in every color!
