My mom is my best friend, and now that I'm a mother I appreciate her even more. I've partnered with JCPenney to share how I'm spoiling my mom with on-trend Mother's Day gifts I know she'll love.
My parents were firm when I was growing up. They wanted me to be happy and have fun, but we had rules. They weren't my friends; first and foremost, they were my parents. I think they must have had it all figured out because my brothers and I grew up to be successful, happy adults. And, over the years a magical thing happened. My mom transformed from mother to best friend. Sure, we had rocky patches when I was a bratty teenager and couldn't wait to explore the world on my own, but once I got out there, I realized how amazing my mom really is. Now that I'm a mother too, I understand even more. My mom is extraordinary and I feel lucky to call her my best friend.
When JCPenney reached out to me about shopping for Mother's Day at their stores, I jumped at the opportunity. JCPenney actually holds a very special place in my heart. When I was little, my mom was a JCPenney card holder and we'd get their big catalogs a few times a year. My mom would let me circle things that I wanted and we'd visit the mall a few towns away and have a girls' day of shopping. I still love shopping at JCPenney thanks to their affordable, everyday values. It's a one-stop shopping destination for my family and that makes it so worth it.

My mom made sure we had everything we needed while we were growing up and I'm so thankful that now I can return the favor. Since I talk to her so often, I usually know exactly what she needs and this makes holiday shopping a breeze. Mother's Day was no exception, and I found so many trendy gifts for her at JCPenney.
Mother's Day gifts from JCPenney
Since she travels fairly often, I knew she could use a great tote bag to carry on her flights. I hit the jackpot with this seafoam Liz Claiborne Mary Ann Tote Bag. It's the perfect size and the perfect shade of mint green. The tassel detailing and silver-tone hardware look so classy.
To be honest, I really wanted to keep it for myself. Hint, hint to my darling husband! This one is #SoWorthIt!
I also knew that she'd love a new pair of summer sandals. These Liz Claiborne Lively Women's Sandals are exactly what she needs. She can wear them to casual outings or church, and I know the wedge heel will keep her comfortable.
As you might have noticed, my mom is gorgeous. She's got blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes and just looks amazing in colors like turquoise, mint and coral. That's why I knew she'd love these pieces from Monet. The Orange Collar Necklace and Orange Stud Earrings are going to look fantastic on her.
Last but not least, I wanted to give her a little something for pampering so I selected a little something from Matrix Biolage. Our JCPenney salon had these awesome gift sets that were beautifully packaged. She'll get a color last shampoo, conditioner, bonus aqua-gel conditioner and a cute poof to attach to one of her handbags.
I'm pretty sure that my mom is going to love all of these beautiful gifts. What I wasn't so sure about was what to get my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. Thankfully, JCPenney has gift cards! They also had a ridiculously good deal for Rewards members and I took full advantage! I was able to get these cultured freshwater pearl earrings for only $10 for being a Rewards member! They were originally $49, so this was a steal! Every woman could use a fabulous pair of pearl earrings so I'm excited to gift them to my mother-in-law this year.
While I was perusing JCPenney, I also came across this adorable "Mom Life is the Best Life" pouch and I just had to grab it for myself. It's going to make a great addition to my diaper bag!
I can't wait to see my mom and surprise her with these Mother's Day Gifts From JCPenney! Especially since she's giving me quite the Mother's Day gift this year; she'll be watching our kids while my husband and I go out of town for Mother's Day weekend. She's a saint. I love you mom!
