I don't know about you, but I am often stumped when Father's Day, our anniversary, Christmas, and my man's birthday roll around. Big gifts are hard to come up with, but I can always think of a dozen little things he likes, so the Man Bouquet sounded like a perfect answer when I knew his birthday was coming up.
If your sweetie is often buying you flowers, and you'd like to return the favor somehow, but obviously not with girly flowers, this bouquet is the ticket. All you need are a bunch of small gifts and treats. Tall, skinny, and light items do best, since skewers are the easiest material to use for the 'stems'. Other ideas include lottery tickets, coupons for back scratches, movie tickets, and other gift cards.
On your supply list, you'll need a sort of bucket and a heavy filler. This tin flower pot worked great, and filling it with rocks did the job, but first placing a foam block in the bottom and then filling it with smooth marbles would have been a much better idea. The smaller (and the heavier) the filler, the easier it is going to be to place your skewers deep and secure.
For the lightest items, a strip of tape on the back does the job, but for most of these treats, I felt better about using the trusty glue gun.
Start arranging your treats! Place tall things in the back, small things in the front, mix up the goodies, and add in a few personal items! A sweet note or a picture is always a nice touch.
It makes a great centerpiece at a party, and your man will love picking things off to enjoy at his leisure. If you filled this with dollar bills, wouldn't it make a fantastic graduation gift?!
