Before we started a family I wanted to learn how to sew. I thought sewing was a skill a mom should have. So, my mom bought me a machine, I read the instructions and started whipping up projects. A few months later I found out I was pregnant and was pretty decent at sewing 🙂
Once I became pregnant with the wubba I knew I wanted to make him something special. That's when I ran into this chevron quilt from Cluck Cluck Sew. I was in L.O.V.E. and knew I wanted to make one just like it. But, I didn't even know where to begin until I saw this tutorial from a quilt is nice.
I was able to modify the tutorial to fit my design and actually made mine a bit bigger. I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.
For the tag, I wrote the words in pencil then hand stitched with a good ol' needle and thread over the writing. It's on the back corner.
I think he likes it too.

Oh I am sure one day he will treasure that! I have been practicing my sewing as well. I just feel the urge since I have had kids. I am not great, but slowly getting better.
