Did you know that many insurance companies will now cover a new breast pump? Many women still don't know that their insurance will pay for a brand new, name-brand pump, and they end up spending hundreds of dollars out of pocket. If you've ever had to deal with insurance companies or file a claim, you know it can be a hassle and there can be a lot of red tape to get through. Thankfully, there are services available that will help you get your free breast pump and do all of the work, including billing insurance and shipping the pump to you. Edwards Health Care Services is one of these organizations and we're thrilled to introduce you to them today.
How to get a free breast pump
Edwards Health Care Services believes that all women should have access to breastfeeding equipment. They make the process of obtaining a breast pump so simple, which is a huge blessing for expecting and new parents. All you have to do is fill out their online form and one of their Breast Pump Concierges will take care of getting a prescription from your doctor and communicating with your insurance company. Once they verify the order with you, they'll ship the breast pump for free right to your door!
You can view the full list of available breast pump options here. Not all pumps will be covered by all insurances, but your Breast Pump Concierge at Edwards Health Care Services will help you figure out which pumps are available to you. Some of the pumps have optional upgrades that may not be covered by insurance and they'll discuss those with you as well. They literally do all the work and take the guesswork out of the process of getting a free breast pump with insurance.
Edwards Health Care Services is in-network with a lot of nationwide plans, such as Aetna, United Healthcare, and Tricare. They're also in-network with many regional plans, including over 40 Medicaid programs and many Blue Cross Blue Shield plans for example. Some insurance companies will cover a breast pump anytime during pregnancy but certain plans may require you to wait until the third trimester or until the baby is born before they'll allow shipment. EHCS will completely guide you through the process though, so you'll know which pump your plan will cover a pump and when you can expect to receive it.

I am nursing for the second time.. a wonderful 19 month old! The hard time hand expressing and my son is not very interested in cow's milk.. This is an amazing giveaway. I plan on having at least one more baby so it would come in handy for the future as well.

I did not know that "The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has adopted new legislation requiring commercial health insurances to add breast pumps as a covered benefit". I received my pump free but I had state health insurance, I have heard many talking about struggling with their insurances to get one or even money for one. I will make sure to spread that word!!

This is so amazing! I did not know Breast Pumps are now covered. I am not sure they were covered when I was nursing my first born. But I love that your insurance can also help you with an upgrade!

I learned the Department of Health & Human Services is requiring health insurances to add breast pumps as a covered benefit. I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to let my daughter-in-law who is nursing know this. Thanks for the contest 🙂
