The ONE Thing That Can Make Your Patio Way More Awesome This Summer!

Are you into entertaining? Even if you just like watching your favorite team or show on the small screen, this is something you should definitely consider. I've partnered with Best Buy to tell you all about it!

    indoor tv outdoors

We just moved into our new house about 6 weeks ago and I've made great strides with unpacking and organizing our new space. We pretty much started from scratch and replaced almost everything we ever owned. New furniture, new dishes, new bedding, new TVs. The only thing we haven't done is figured out what to do with our back patio space. We put in a gorgeous pool with a large travertine deck, and although it's pretty, it's barren.

My husband and I were standing in the living room looking at the new TV that we purchased from Best Buy (yay for the Geek Squad and their amazingly quick installation!), and he said, "Why don't we just mount our old TV on the wall outside." I considered it for a moment but then I thought I'd better research it more. Florida is brutally hot and humid for most of the year so I figured that an indoor TV used outside probably wouldn't last too long.

Can you use an indoor TV outdoors?

All it took was me opening the manual of our new TV and reading the first few pages. There were several warnings about using an indoor TV outdoors so I quickly ruled that out. Apparently, there is a risk of electrocution and severe damage to the TV due to humidity, dust, and sunlight. Plus, most indoor TVs screens aren't built for the brightness out outdoor light and your picture will be compromised. But, wouldn't an outdoor TV be awesome? Yes, yet it would be. Thankfully, there are SunBrite TVs at Best Buy.

The SunBriteTV Veranda series is the ideal outdoor TV for full-shade spaces (like patios and verandas) because they're specifically made for the outdoors and are weatherproof. These TVs are engineered for permanent outdoor installation and are more durable, safer, and higher performance than using an indoor TV outdoors. If you don't have a fully shaded place to mount your TV, don't worry; SunBrite also has a partial sun (Signature) and full sun (Pro) line of TVs too.

Cool outdoor living spaces are so on-trend right now and I definitely want to create an amazing outdoor living area for our new home. I've already got the cable line installed and the perfect place to mount a new outdoor TV all picked out. Now, I just need to pick out some furniture and head to Best Buy for a SunBrite TV so we can really enjoy our outdoor space. Right now, you can get a FREE Outdoor Weatherproof Tilt Mount for 37" - 80" TV screens and displays (Black) with the purchase of a SunBriteTV Veranda Series (full shade) 55" Class LED 2160p 4K Ultra HD TV. That's a $149.98 value!

Interesting. It never occurred to me to use a tv outdoors. I'd love a beautiful patio like one of these!
