Play-Doh is a staple in our creative cupboard! Not a week goes by where all of the tubs aren't pulled out and all sorts of creative shapes and objects take over the kitchen table and floor. I love that my kids enjoy this tactile and creative element as much as I do. I can't help myself from buying more and more cans of it. All those pretty colors endless possibilities get me every time.
Because there are endless possibilities as to what you can create with Play-Doh, it transcends through generations captivating imaginations of millions. Parents everywhere can share our nostalgic memories and relive our childhood pastimes as we bust out these colorful canisters full of perfectly squishable, moldable material with our kids. Children and artists of all ages can enjoy all the possibilities!
On Sept. 16th, Play-Doh is celebrating World Play-Doh Day and hosting a Facebook Parade! They will be featuring sculptures that exhibit national pride, so we dove right in to these Play-Doh Starter Kits and Play-Doh Super Color Pack (with 20 colors!!) and got to work creating our own sculpt!
We figured that you can't get more American than baseball, so we put together an "All-American Pastime Baseball Sculpt" and my boys really had fun designing it with me!
To join in on the fun and show your national pride, fans can sculpt a favorite landmark, cultural icon, or patriotic symbol! When you share your sculpts on the official Play-Doh Facebook page wall between now and Sept. 14th, select sculpts will be chosen as part of the #WorldPlayDohDay Parade on Sept. 16th!
Just remember that your sculpts cannot feature brand names, characters, or pop-culture icons, and that they should be appropriate for a kid-friendly audience. Use your imagination as you muster up your best landmarks, cultural icons, food, patriotic symbols, etc. and submit as many as you'd like!
So celebrate World Play-Doh Day with us on Sept. 16th and take the opportunity to open up a can and start creating! And to give you some ideas of activities for all this Play-Doh, we've gathered over 100 printable mats that you can print, laminate, and let your kids go to town!

I'm in love with Play dough. My 2 and 3 year olds would play with it every single day, if I would allow. With the colder weather coming, and less outside time, it will probably become part of our daily routine. Thanks for all the great play dough mats.

The baseball sculpt is so cute and creative. I always have play-doh around for my grandkids and find it provides hours of entertainment even for the older ones as they help the younger kids.
