I just have to say it; I am a big fan of Teach My Learning Kits! I have the Teach My Baby Learning Kit and it did wonders for my daughter! Their Toddler Kit is perfect for ages 18+ months and comes with four learning packs. These packs include the Alphabet, Numbers (1-10), Shapes and Colors and can be easily stored away and transported in their handled case.
I love how the teaching tools are designed to encourage interaction and play. I think that’s the best way for kids to learn, by making it fun! With its design to match up letters, numbers, colors, and shapes it really helps to absorb the information they are learning.
The alphabet pack contains a fun foam puzzle with the alphabet in capital and lowercase letters. They can all “pop-out” (as my daughter likes to say) and has fun saying the letters as she pushes them out and puts them back in. There is also a fun book that shows the alphabet letters with a corresponding character. These characters are also featured on the foldout poster and on the back of the flash cards. My daughter loves it when I lay out all the flash cards and she picks one out, and tells me what letter it is until they are all gone. Or, I point a letter out and then she tells me what it is. We like to switch it up and she has a great time!
The color pack includes a foam puzzle that has 9 different colored crayons. My daughter loves to match up the foam pieces onto the poster. This is definitely one of her most favorite activities! The flash cards feature these nine colors and the name of the color. Also included, is a cute book that has the colors with a color-coordinating item, such as a yellow banana.
The numbers pack has a foam puzzle that includes the number 1-10. My daughter really loves to match up the numbers as well. She pops out the numbers and puts them on the poster, or on the included flash cards. I love how the back of the flash cards have cute drawings such as teddy bears and ducks in the corresponding number that is on the card. For example… the number 3 will have 3 ducks on the back. This helps with counting and to show how many of something make up this number. The book also includes these cute drawings with the numbers.
The last pack that is included in this kit are the shapes. You also get a foam puzzle with 9 shapes that certainly make for fun entertainment. My daughter just adores playing with them. Matching them up on the poster is certainly another highlight for her. She tells me the shape as she places it in their correct spot on the poster. The shapes book is really cute! One scene is depicted all throughout the book where shapes make up the scene. Each page showcases a shape and highlights it within the picture. This is such a cute way to learn!
I knew my daughter was going to love this kit, but I had no idea it was going to be this big of a success! All she wants to do is play with it, which is fantastic! I am all for learning toys and this kit is such a fun way for the two of us to play and bond. I love helping my daughter learn and she has this amazing twinkle that emanates from her when she has figured something out. With this toy, I have witnessed this remarkable moment many times. Teach My has won numerous awards for their outstanding kits and it’s no surprise to me. They certainly won our hearts!
