How to create a simple high volume hairstyle

Summer is a great time to try out a new look, especially one with HIGH volume. We love up-dos for summertime and we want to show you just how easy it is to create a beautiful up-do for your summer wedding or party (or any occasion really!). One of the most important parts of creating a high volume look is choosing the right products. Fortunately, Kroger has you covered with great beauty products like TRESemme Health Volume Shampoo and Conditioner, Suave Pro Volume Mousse, and  TRESemme Hairspray.

Here's how to achieve a beautiful up-do using these great products:

Start with damp, towel-dried hair. I used two small plum-sized balls of Suave Professionals Volume Souffle Mousse and ran it through my hair just with my fingers. From there, I blow dried my hair upside down to create the most volume. Once dry, I then took small strands of hair and spritzed on two or three sprays of TRESemme hair spray, and used hot rollers to set the curl. I honestly only kept them in for 5-8 minutes, and the amount of voluminous curls this creates is remarkable!

To style my hair, I gathered a large tuft on top and pushed it toward the front and pinned in place. I didn't even need to back-comb because of the volume I was already getting from the products and the hot rollers. Next, grab the hair above the ears - anything that would be in front of a headband and pin up on top of your head next to the other bobby pins. At this point, you've got a lovely retro-style half-up look that you could rock at wedding, summer picnic, or party! To do the full updo, keep grabbing more and more strands of curls and pin them to create a round puff of curls. Use some more of that TRESemme hair spray and you've got a style that looks nice and full and will last all day!
