Whether or not you subscribe to Netflix, you've probably heard about their new option to download select shows and movies so you can watch them without a network connection. As soon as I heard about this service I knew we'd use it. Long car trips and flights are going to be a breeze with our kids if they can watch Octonauts or Super Why! The best part? There's no extra charge to download the content and watch it on your own time. If you currently have a Netflix subscription, you can use the "Available to Download" menu to save your favorite shows. There are tons available for kids and adults. Then, watch them any time without wasting precious data!
I'm really excited to download some of my kids' most-loved shows. While we often have access to wi-fi for them to stream their favorites, it will be great to have shows on hand when we don't. I may also take advantage of this feature when I'm flying. It will be fun to see which shows and movies become available for download the next few months!
New on Netflix: DreamWorks Trollhunters
We're on winter break down here and have been going a little stir-crazy so we decided to check out Netflix and DreamWorks new series, DreamWorks Trollhunters. With 13 hours of adventure, suspense and limitless imagination it's already a big hit in our house!
I'm sure your family will be hooked on DreamWorks Trollhunters and I've got some fun activities to share to keep your kids from getting bored while they're home from school. First, you can create your own battle armor and sword with these awesome printables. You'll probably have all of the necessary items to get this project started and your kids will have a blast personalizing their armor!
I've also got a recipe for DIY Hard Rock Candy-yum! I loved rock candy as a kid and I look forward to making some in a variety of different colors to munch on next time we're watching an episode of Trollhunters.
