My diaper bag needs have certainly changed over the years. With three kids, instead of a bag that carries just newborn accessories, I now need a bag that can hold a variety of toddler snacks, spare diapers in two sizes, sippy cups, and distraction toys on top of all that a baby needs, and that list is anything but short and sweet. I've also realized that with several people to transport around on our errands, and not any extra hands, I've GOT to have a hands-free bag that stays up on my shoulder or on my back without effort! Thus I set out to find the perfect diaper bag backpack, and hit the jackpot with the opportunity to review the backpack diaper bag that keeps winning awards, at no cost to facilitate this review, from Twelve Little!
The Unisex Courage Backpack Grey is everything I hoped and needed it to be. A hands-free durable bag with lots of pockets and no fuss. I wasn't expecting it to be so lightweight, and this might be my favorite feature of all. The backpack is made of a durable water-resistant crinkle nylon which makes it feel basically weightless. The entire back panel is padded as well as the shoulder straps, which are adjustable, making this unisex bag comfortable for both mom and dad.
The interior lining is just so cute! It is a PVC-free water-resistant coated lining with darling animals in a unisex gray. I love all the pockets and places to store specific things, like the interior tech sleeve which can fit an iPad and up to a 14" laptop, and the elastic-top slip pockets for diapers, wipes, and even bottles.
This might look like any other backpack from a distance, but the close-up details make this diaper bag really look high-end and sophisticated, like the sheep leather trim and the metal zippers. The metal teeth might not glide as easily as a plastic zipper, and I read that other consumers have had the same note, but I agree with Twelve Little and their decision to keep the zippers metal since they really raise the quality and fashion sense of the bag. I'd take these classy zippers over plastic any day.
Twelve Little has recently improved their backpacks in a number of ways, including this new animal design changing pad. I like how thin the changing pad is so that it doesn't add bulk to the bag.
Another favorite feature is this secret compartment in the back, which is meant to store soiled clothes or diapers, or other things that you don't want seen or smelled until you get home, but personally, I really see the value of keeping my wallet tucked safely inside, where it is unseen and concealed. I also might start hiding snacks there that I don't want the toddlers to find!
These insulated side bottle pockets are another new feature on the Unisex Courage Backpacks, which work great for both mom's and baby's drinks.
Although I consider Boston are pretty safe city, there are still times I feel like someone might grab my purse at any given moment, so I'm also glad to sport around a bag that won't slide off my arm or get snatched from my shoulder. I feel like backpacks are safer than other bags and they are definitely my recommendation for city moms and multiple-child mothers!! I love everything about this Twelve Little backpack and I'm so excited to offer one to a lucky winner!

I'd have to go with the Sapphire! I love their other backpacks too. We are in desperate need of a new one - the diaper backpack we have does not allow me to stay organized and I am constantly forgetting something or it takes forever to find what we need. One of the straps also broke recently and baby #1 is only 13 months. We need a much better solution for our growing family.
