In my household, spaghetti is one of our staple foods, but lets face it, you can only eat spaghetti so many times before it gets a little boring. I've found several recipes around the web for 'baked spaghetti' and tried out several before I finally just took a few recipes and threw them into one. After making my own variation several times I finally became satisfied with the results and I am ready to share the recipe with you today!
What You Need:
You'll need to base your recipe off of how many people you are cooking for, below fed two adults and had two days of left overs.
Approximately ½ box of Spaghetti or Thin Spaghetti; cooked al dente
1 Jar of Marinara Sauce
½ pound - 1 pound of ground beef; cooked
2 containers of Crescent Rolls we used the Safeway Open Nature brand
1 Cup of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or more depending on your taste
Olive Oil
Dry Italian Seasoning
Garlic Powder
You will also need parchment paper and a baking sheet.
The first thing you need to do is cook the ground beef and pasta to its entirety and combine the ground beef, pasta, and marinara sauce in a mixing bowl. Preheat your oven to the specifications on the Crescent Roll containers and cover your baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the Crescent Rolls onto your baking sheet and pull/stretch the edges of the Crescent Rolls to make it slightly larger. If the rolls come apart just use your fingertips to smooth it back into place. Spray or rub olive oil on the Crescent Rolls and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
Pile on as much spaghetti as you can on top of the Crescent Roll and top with lots mozzarella cheese!
Once you have loaded up your spaghetti and mozzarella cheese you will then need to unroll your second container of Crescent Rolls over the top of the spaghetti, smoothing out any cracks, and pressing the top Crescent Roll to the bottom Crescent Roll. Spray or rub olive oil the top and sprinkle with Italian seasonings and garlic powder.
Bake at the temperature as indicated on the Crescent Rolls for about 20-25 minutes or longer if needed. Serve directly from the oven and enjoy!
This is a super simple but tasty spaghetti dinner that every member of the family will love! The best part is, you'll be enjoying garlic bread and spaghetti in every bite!

This baked spaghetti recipe sounds great and, as I don't feel that serving spaghetti by itself is "filling" enough, baking it with crescent rolls would make my spaghetti dinner a "meal". Thank you for the great share!

I've eaten spaghetti in a burrito before but never thought of baking it into dough before, color me curious!
