In Australia, generations of women have used muslin swaddling blankets to keep their babies cool in the hot summer months, and warm in the cold winter months. When Raegan Moya-Jones relocated to the United States, she was surprised that muslin swaddle blankets weren't the norm. Wanting the best for her baby, she did what any mother would do - she took matters into her own hands and designed a large swaddle that would be so very useful to parents. Made from the softest, gentlest muslin she could find, Raegan fashioned swaddle blankets that could also function as stroller covers, nursing shields, tummy time blankets, burp clothes, and so much more. Thus, aden + anais was born in 2006. Named after her first child Anais (pronounced UH-nay), the brand transformed the simple swaddle into a fun, fashionable item for moms and babies.
