How You Can Save BIG With Tampa CityPASS

Heading to Tampa Bay for a little fun and relaxation? Here's how you can save big with the Tampa Bay CityPASS. Trust me, if you have kids you will want the CityPASS for your trip.

It's amazing how quickly the costs can add up for a short family vacation. Just considering hotel costs, attractions, and food for four people can be overwhelming! We recently made a weekend trip to Tampa and utilized the Tampa Bay CityPASS to save on multiple attractions. I've partnered with CityPASS to share how you can save 51% on your next visit to Tampa Bay!

We live a couple hours from Tampa Bay but we make it a point to visit at least once or twice per year. After all, we did get married there. We love the water, the restaurants, and the attractions for adults and kids. There are just so many things to do in the Tampa Bay area and we find something new to do every single time we visit. But, now that our kids are a bit older and we have to buy tickets for them, we've found that attraction costs can add up pretty quickly. That's where CityPASS comes in!

Is it the Tampa City Pass or Tampa CityPASS?

Well, it's definitely a pass to the city, but it's actually Tampa Bay CityPass. That's because it includes some attractions located just outside of Tampa, but in the general bay area.

What is the Tampa Bay CityPASS?

Created in 1997, CityPASS originated as a way to save travelers money and time while visiting some of the best attractions in cities across the United States and in Toronto. You can use CityPASS in thirteen different cities and experience so many forms of entertainment. Tampa Bay CityPASS offers savings at six locations, including:

    Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
    The Florida Aquarium
    Zootampa at Lowry Park
    Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) or
    Chihuly Collection

You have nine days to use your CityPASS from the day you experience the first attraction. We only visited Tampa Bay for a long weekend, and we just had time to visit two of the six possible locations. Even still, the cost of a CityPASS is cheaper than a ticket to Busch Gardens, and with CityPASS we had the potential to visit five different attractions. In Tampa, you have the opportunity to visit the first four attractions and can choose between the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) and the Chihuly Collection.

    Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

One of our favorite family destinations is Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. There are so many things to do in the park for both adults and kids and it's like an amazing zoo AND theme park rolled into one.  CityPASS makes it entry into the park simple, with instructions on where to go and what your CityPASS covers at each location.

We've visited Busch Gardens before and we love all of the big Busch Gardens attractions, like the thrilling rides for big kids and adults. Since we had both kids with on this trip, we spent a lot of time focused on activities for them. Our son really enjoyed the Treetop Trails Play Area and I loved climbing with him!

It was super hot so we spent time cooling off in the splash zone. Our kids were living their best lives for sure!

There are so many things to see at Busch Gardens and I was so busy enjoying our time that I didn't take photos of all of it. The animal encounters are amazing and the rides are so much fun. CityPASS makes it more than worth it to visit Busch Gardens while also taking in some of the other awesome attractions in Tampa Bay.

    Visiting MOSI in Tampa

This was the first time we've visited MOSI (The Museum of Science and Industry) and we had the best time! There were so many fun things to do and learn.

All of the exhibits are intended to make kids (and adults!) think about what, why, and how things happen. It's a scientific playground chock full of hands-on activities.

Our daughter really enjoyed peeking inside the human body and playing this life-size version of Operation!

My husband totally got in on the action, and I did too. One of the best things about parenting is watching your kids learn new things. We got to explore so many awesome exhibits at MOSI and if it weren't for CityPASS I'm not sure we'd have visited. Now we'd love to visit again and spend even more time there.

We had such a great time in Tampa with our CityPASS. I wish we'd been in town longer to take advantage of the other attractions but we had a busy, fun-filled weekend!

Check out CityPASS for your next family vacation!

Disclosure: I received complimentary CityPASSes for review. As always, all opinions are my own.
