Easy Stuffed French Toast for Kids

Course Breakfast, Brunch
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Wheat Bread I used Honey Wheat
  • Nutella
  • Sliced Strawberries
  • 2 Eggs
  • A splash of milk
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cut the edges off of your bread.
  2. Pat the bread down a bit so it can retain its structure when folded.
  3. Add a few teaspoons of Nutella to your bread. This isn't an exact science, so add however much you'd like.
  4. Add some sliced strawberries. Be careful not to overstuff your bread or it's burst open when folding.
  5. Fold your bread in half to create a pocket and then clamp the edges with a fork.
  6. Beat 2 (or more depending on your batch size) eggs and add a ¼ to ½ cup of milk and your cinnamon.
  7. Dip your bread pockets in the egg mixture, then add to a non-stick pan (I use a bit of non-stick spray too).
  8. Cook until they're golden brown. Don't forget to press down the edges of the pockets to be sure they cook up well.
