I don’t know about you and your family, but it feels like we’re out and about all the time! I find now that with 2 kiddos, its even harder to plan trips out. Because Jacob still usually takes a morning nap, I find that by the time I make it out of the house to run errands, it’s already 10:30-11:00, and inevitably, we have to stop somewhere for lunch while we are out. My daughter Maggie is a “big girl” and does not want to sit in a high chair anymore, however she is still in need of a boost to help her reach the table. I was so excited to see this travel booster seat from Munchkin because I hate using the booster seats that the restaurants provide. They are usually so dirty, germy, sticky–yuck!
As you can see, using the booster puts Maggie right up to where she needs to be at our table. Had the booster not given her enough extra height, there are 2 legs you can extend to give your child even more of a lift!
Maggie, who is almost 3 years old, is old enough that she doesn’t need to be strapped in. I wanted to check out this seat with my (almost) 9 month old son as well. We used the straps with him and they work great! I probably would not feel secure enough to walk out of the room if he was sitting up high, because it is not a 5-point harness, (and we all know how wiggly some babies can be, especially energetic boys!) but the straps work great at keeping him in his seat when I’m close by to make sure he doesn’t wiggle up and out, as you can see. *Please note, Munchkin recommends this seat for children ages 12 months and up.*
This travel booster has a pocket in the back that’s perfect for storing a child’s cup, a few diapers, snack, wipes, or whatever else you want to keep in there. We store our Travel Booster Seat in our minivan so it’s ready when we need it. In my back pocket, I put a few disposable diapers (cause you just never know when you might need one!), a couple of wipes, hand cleaner, and packaged snacks for our son.
Lastly, another really neat feature of this travel booster is that it folds up so that it really only looks like you’re walking with a diaper bag; it even has a carrying strap. I like that a lot!
